Dinner, June 22. Beef burgers and garlic, lemon and basil pasta
Breakfast, Sept 27.
Lemon squares + green tea
Been under unbelievable stress and sickness this past week that I wanted to start this day on a sweet note. Even spent a couple of hours in the ER last Sat cos my asthma decided to join in on the fun - I could barely breathe and OD-ing on Ventolin puffs and tabs weren’t helping anymore. Sigh. Hope these lemon squares can help make this week a better one. Cheers.

Our little family has reached the point where more often than not we’d just stay in and spend quality time with each other during weekends. Especially since zooey has been sick this past week, this weekend was no exception; we really had to stay in and watch over our baby. It’s because of these moments that I get really inspired to cook and show my family that we don’t have to go out and spend money just to eat good food. So on a typical weekend, while I’m busy prepping and cooking and taking pictures of the finished product just before calling them to the table, daddy and zooey bond through music. We call it her weekend music classes. See, Gary’s an audiophile and has been an avid music collector almost his whole life. Here’s a peek at what went on last Saturday night:
Dinner, Aug 14. Oven-baked lemon mustard chicken with pesto sauce and potato wedges

My background music and sources of inspiration:
Gary, Velvet Underground and of course, our little rockstar zooey :)

I love my family :)
